Notre Dame-Belmont basketball player Ally Co is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 10-16 after narrowly edging Burlingame soccer player Amalie Pianim for the honor.
At the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday, Co had 7,953 votes (34.33%) to Pianim’s 7,819 votes (33.75%).
Las Lomas soccer player Alessandra Towle finished third.

Co had 27 points in two West Bay Athletic League Foothill Division wins, including five 3-pointers.
The junior transfer from Half Moon Bay finished with 13 points and four assists against The King’s Academy, then 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals against Menlo School.
