Heritage volleyball player Rochelle Mosley is the Bay Area News Group’s athlete of the week for Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 after receiving 37.92% of the vote by our 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
By the narrowest of margins, Mosley finished just ahead of Los Gatos water polo player Zoe Frangieh, who finished second with 37.65% of the vote.
Mosley had 6,178 votes to Frangieh’s 6,134.
Mosley, a 5-foot-9 senior, led Heritage to victories over Antioch and Deer Valley. Against Antioch, she had nine aces and eight assists in a 25-13, 25-11, 25-5 win.
Heritage began this week 4-0 in the Bay Valley Athletic League and 10-2 overall.
