Berean Christian basketball player Gabrielle Abigor is the Bay Area News Group girls high school athlete of the week for Dec. 13-19 after she received 45.36% of the vote by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Dublin basketball player Rachel Grier (31.88%) finished second and California basketball player Kelly Tumlin took third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Abigor, a 6-foot-3 sophomore, had 38 points and 19 rebounds in a 73-62 win over Wood-Vacaville, running Berean’s record to 10-1. She began this week averaging 27.2 points and 17.6 rebounds and is a member of Cal-Hi Sports preseason all-state girls team.
