Metallica and San Francisco Symphony opened the Golden State Warriors’ new Chase Center in historic fashion back in September.
The shows drew some 40,000 fans, traveling in from roughly 70 different countries, to see what was the first collaboration between the Bay Area’s best-selling band and the acclaimed symphony since their 1999 performances featured on the Grammy-winning “S&M” album.

Fans can relive those magical Chase Center nights — Sept. 6 and 8, 2019 — with the upcoming release of “S&M2” live album and concert film.
The album will be available in many different formats, from digital and streaming to CD and vinyl, and the concert film is being released on both DVD and Blu-ray.
“S&M2” will be released on Aug. 28, but preorders start today (July 15) at metallica.com/sm2.
