Get ready for another week of live music, highlighted by an appearance from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bob Seger. Here are some of our top concert picks:
Bob Seger
Seger has said this is his final tour. And we believe he — unlike some other acts that make similar claims — means it.
We were fortunate enough to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and his mighty Silver Bullet Band earlier this month and can testify that they are sounding great on this tour.
So don’t miss the chance to see the man who gave the world “Night Moves,” “Turn the Page,” “Hollywood Nights” and so many other good songs when he performs Feb. 28 at the Golden 1 Center. It should be worth the drive to Sacramento, especially given that Seger does not have a Bay Area date currently listed on his itinerary.

Joe Jackson
The exceptionally talented singer-songwriter-pianist, responsible for such memorable tunes as “Is She Really Going Out with Him?” and “Steppin’ Out,” performs March 2 at The Masonic in San Francisco.

Bob Mould Band
The 2019 Noise Pop festival continues with an appearance by Bob Mould, the alt-rock artist who hipsters still cherish for his highly influential work with the band Husker Du. The Bob Mould Band performs March 2 at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Film School opens.

Cameo
The soul-funk outfit, best known for the smash “Word Up!” from 1986, performs two shows on March 3 at Yoshi’s in Oakland.
