The mandatory evacuation area for the Kincade Fire was expanded Saturday to a 775-square-mile area from Sonoma County’s east edge to the coast, including the cities of Healdsburg, Guerneville, Sebastopol and part of Santa Rosa.

Evacuation centers are the Santa Rosa Veterans Building, the Petaluma Veterans Building and the Sonoma Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma. Large animals were being taken in at the Sonoma County fairgrounds, in Santa Rosa.

Highway 128 was closed between Canyon Road in Geyserville and Alexander Valley Road in Jimtown. Highway 101 remained open.
