It’s time to get out and see some live music. Here’s a look at some of the top concert offerings, highlighted by appearances from Casting Crowns, Kari Jobe, Diana Krall and Janet Jackson.
Casting Crowns, Kari Jobe
The Casting Crowns are out on the road in support of their latest album, “Only Jesus,” and perform Sept. 24 at the Event Center at San Jose State University and Oct. 1 at the Stockton Arena.
Joining vocalist Mark Hall and the Crowns crew on this road trip is none other than Kari Jobe, the multiple Dove Award-winner known for such terrific songs as “Forever” and “I Am Not Alone.”
Cody Carnes and Jamie Kimmett are also on the bill.

Diana Krall
The great jazz vocalist-pianist is going to be all over Northern California during the next few days. Her gigs include Sept. 21 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Sept. 22 at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Sept. 26 at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park and Sept. 27 at the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Janet Jackson
This top-tier entertainer, who was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, visits Chase Center in San Francisco on Sept. 21.

Zac Brown Band
Brown’s bunch, which ranks as one of the best live acts in country music, performs Sept. 20 at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View. Caroline Jones is also on the bill.
