SAN JOSE — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in the shooting death of a man in San Jose last month.

The shooting was reported at El Rancho Liquors on the 1400 block of Almaden Road about 9:50 p.m. Dec. 14. Officers arrived to find Nathan Johnson-Harper, 34, of Fresno, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

San Jose police on Tuesday released surveillance camera images and video of the suspects.

The first suspect was described as a possibly Latino man in his 20s with a medium build, curly, medium-length hair, moustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt and light-blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as a possibly black man in his 20s with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a knit cap, black hooded sweatshirt and white gym pants.

In the video, both men arrive at the liquor store on push scooters.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, according to Officer Gina Tepoorten.
