OAKLAND — Three men were wounded in a North Oakland shooting Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
All of the men are in their twenties, with two in critical condition and one in stable condition. The shooting happened at about 12:10 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Apgar Street near West Street.
One of the men was removed from the area by police officers who took him to nearby paramedics before he was taken to a hospital. The other two men got their own transportation to hospitals, and one was transferred to a second hospital where he underwent surgery.
Police believed the suspect or suspects were still in the area and actively searched for them for several hours.
A motive for the shooting has not been released.
Numerous streets in the area, including a section of West MacArthur Boulevard, were shut down while police investigated the shooting and searched for the suspects.
