CONCORD — The search for a bank robbery suspect brought with it new video released by police.

The robbery happened Aug. 1 at the Wells Fargo Bank on Oak Grove Road, adjacent to Ygnacio Valley High School. According to police, the man walked up to the counter and handed the teller a demand note that said, among other things, “No dye pack” and “No funny stuff” while asking for “large bills only.”

The teller complied with the note, and the suspect shoved bundles of cash into a black leather fanny pack. He left with approximately $8,034, police said.

Officials posted pictures of the suspect on the Concord Police Department’s Facebook page on Aug. 2, prompting several tips and leads for investigators that have not panned out, police said.

The suspect is 5-foot-9 and approximately 150 pounds. He is of a mixed or white race with an olive complexion and is estimated to be 30 to 35 years old.

Police urged anyone with information to contact Det. Chris Loercher.
