The Dave Matthews Band is set to bring its jam-rock tunes to the Chase Center.
The multi-platinum act, known for such songs as “Too Much,” “Crash Into Me,” “Where Are You Going” and “Ants Marching,” performs Sept. 10 at the new home of the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.

It’s the second show announced at the Chase, the 18,064-seat venue set to open this fall. Organizers on March 18 announced the first show — the reunion of Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony, which opens the building on Sept. 6.
Michael Tilson Thomas will direct the symphony at that show, which serves not only as inaugural event but also marks the 20th anniversary of Metallica and the Symphony’s groundbreaking collaboration of 1999, which produced the Grammy-winning live album “S&M.”
The original “S&M” live dates, which took place at the Berkeley Community Theatre, have become legendary over the years.
The Metallica/Symphony event and the Dave Matthews Band concert are the first two steps in what organizers are calling “Reveal Week.” Plans call for six more events/concerts to be announced at the Chase this week.
More announcements will be made on the venue’s website, chasecenter.com, at 2 p.m. March 19; 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 20; and 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 21.
The Dave Matthews Band has sold more than 30 million albums in the U.S. alone. The group’s most recent studio outing was last year’s “Come Tomorrow.”
