Pink Floyd mastermind Roger Water has announced a North American tour for 2020.
And it’s coming to Northern California.
Waters brings his This Is Not a Drill Tour to Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Sept. 23 and Chase Center in San Francisco on Sept. 25.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Jan. 31. See rogerwaters.com for details.
The all-new production is being performed “in the round” — which is a first for Waters — and it is said to continue the artist’s “message of love.”
“It’ll be a new show. It will be no-holds-barred,” Waters said in a Rolling Stone interview, according to his website. “My work is to think, ‘Well, how can I make rock & roll more interesting or theatrical or exciting or visual or musical or whatever?’ That’s what I’ve spent the last 50 years doing, expressing myself.”
The tour kicks off on July 8 in Pittsburgh on July 8.
It’s the artist’s first outing since the incredible Us + Them tour, which played the SAP Center at San Jose in June 2017. And it might just have been the best show of that year. Read our review here.
