Join us for live news and analysis Tuesday at 5 p.m. as the Warriors face LeBron James on Christmas night again, this time when the Lakers come to Oracle.
This will mark the fourth straight season LeBron James and the Warriors are meeting on Christmas, with the Warriors winning three of those games over the Cavaliers.
The Lakers (19-14) are currently fourth in the Western Conference with LeBron leading the way with some impressive numbmers — he’s averaging 27.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. Los Angeles, however, will be without a Warriors fan favorite, JaVale McGee, who is still recovering from pneumonia that caused him to miss the past four games. McGee was originally scheduled to receive his Warriors championship ring Tuesday.
The Warriors (23-11) have won their past two home games in narrow fashion, including a 129-127 win over the Clippers on Sunday that Stephen Curry won with a last-second layup.
This is the first meeting between the Warriors and Lakers, who faced each other twice during the preseason.
The Warriors will be back in action Thursday against the Trail Blazers before heading up to Portland for a rematch on Saturday night.
