Foothill High won its home non-conference softball game 12-0 against Dougherty Valley High in Pleasanton on Wednesday. Foothill had Maddie Heinlin on the mound for the Falcons, and Sonia Keswani pitched for Dougherty Valley before being relieved by Samantha Yeung in the second inning. Foothill took an early lead in the first inning when Marissa Anderson hit a single, scoring Avery Francis. With the bases loaded, the Falcons added to their lead in the second inning when Emma Chandler hit a triple, scoring three runs.
Foothill will next travel to Martinez for a non-conference game against Alhambra High on Wednesday, April 7, and Dougherty Valley will host Granada High for a home non-conference game on Friday, April 2.
