In a brazen attack in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, one or two assailants shot and seriously wounded Lady Gaga’s dog walker and made off with two of her three beloved French bulldogs, multiple outlets are reporting.

Lady Gaga, who is in Rome shooting a movie, was reportedly “extremely upset” and has offered $500,000 to the person who has her dogs — “no questions asked,” TMZ reported.

Ryan Fischer, 30, was shot four times outside his West Hollywood home as he was walking the star’s dogs, Koji, Miss Asia and Gustave, the Daily Mail said.

When Los Angeles police officers arrived at the scene, they found Fischer conscious but barely breathing, the Daily Mail said. He was transported to a local hospital. The Daily Mail reported that he was in “grave” condition, but TMZ heard from police that he is expected to recover.

LAPD public information Officer Jeff Lee confirmed to The Sun that a male suspect shot a 30-year-old man at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of N. Sierra Bonita Avenue. Lee said no arrests had been made.

TMZ said one, or possibly two, assailants were involved in the attack. The Daily Mail said the assailant managed to make off with Koji and Gustave, but Miss Asia ran away and was later found by police. The assailant fled the scene in a white BMW, TMZ said.

Law enforcement officials don’t know if the assailant targeted Lady Gaga’s dogs specifically. TMZ reported that French Bulldogs are in demand and expensive, so it’s possible the gunman didn’t know the dogs were owned by the singer.

A number of Frenchies, said to be San Francisco’s most popular dog, have been stolen in the past several months in the Bay Area. In January, a woman was beaten and her French bulldog taken at gunpoint.
