Welcome back to our all-for-fun high school football picks competition.
Through five weeks, Evan Webeck — aka The Kid — continues to sit atop the standings, his grip on first place tightening even more after he made 13 correct picks out of 16 games last weekend.
The Kid now leads yours truly by five games and two-time defending champion Mike Lefkow by six games as the calendar moves to October.
It’s not Hail Mary time for those of us looking up in the standings.

But safe to say, Lefkow and I need to start doing better than we both did last week when we had identical 10-6 records.
