With “Pomp and Circumstance” playing, the Hayward High class of 2021 marched onto the school’s football field Friday for their commencement ceremony. Graduating student Jacob Hill played the national anthem on the cello, followed by an address from school Principal Dave Seymour. Class valedictorian Amanda Ehrman gave a speech and then received an award for her perfect attendance dating from her first day of kindergarten.

After all the graduates had received their diplomas, school board trustee Gabriel Chaparro, a Hayward High School alumnus, gave closing remarks.
