California’s reopening means festivals, fairs and fireworks are coming back, including Fourth of July celebrations. Here’s a sampling. Events take place on July 4 unless otherwise noted.

Antioch 4th of July Parade & Celebration: 8 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment, food and beverages, arts and crafts, and a car show. Pancake breakfast, 8-10 a.m., City Hall parking lot. Parade, 5 p.m., West Second Street and E Street. Car Show, 3:30-4:30 p.m., City Hall parking lot, enter at Third and H Streets. Arts and crafts, 5 p.m. Second and G Streets. Claremont Club and Spa Summer of Love: Cookie decorating, 10 a.m. July 3. Decorate a dozen Independence Day-themed cookies, with icing and toppings provided by the hotel’s East Bay Provisions cafe. $40 per dozen. Celebrate Concord: 7 p.m. gates open, Concord Pavilion, 2000 Kirker Pass Road, Concord. This drive-in style event will feature Pyro Spectaculars’ award-winning fireworks show, which starts at dark, set to music. $25 per vehicle. www.concordjuly4th.com

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom: A fireworks show is offered after a day of rides, roller coasters, live entertainment and a chance to visit with our park animals. 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. July 3-4. 1001 Fairgrounds Drive SW, Vallejo. $34. sixflags.com/discoverykingdom

Fairfield 4th of July Parade and Family Activities: 10 a.m. parade, downtown. Activities, Annex Lawn, 600 Texas St. The annual parade returns, along with family activities including food, music, contests and more. www.visitfairfieldca.com/events/

Foster City Fourth of July Celebration: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, dog show contest, barbecue and pub style trivia during this celebration that includes in-person and virtual fun. No fireworks. Find details at www.fostercity.org, https://bit.ly/3zx7EYu.

Half Moon Bay Ol’ Fashioned 4th of July Parade and Festival: 11 a.m.-4 p.m., parade, noon-1 pm., Main Street, downtown Half Moon Bay. Featuring music, craft beer, wine, cocktails and food trucks. Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra of Silicon Valley Open Rehearsal: 2 p.m., Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, Park Stage, 500 Castro St, Mountain View. This free open rehearsal will be a reading session of July Fourth favorites. Listeners can sit on the grass, bring a picnic, come and go, and enjoy the music. Pleasant Hill 4th of July Celebration: 10 a.m.-9:15 p.m. An auto parade from 10 a.m.-noon will run through various Pleasant Hill neighborhoods, featuring music, first responders and community leaders. Decorate your house in red, white and blue and vie for a prize; the best five houses win gift cards to local restaurants. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. View from your home. San Francisco Symphony: 2 p.m. Stern Grove, 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco. Edwin Outwater will conduct a special Fourth of July concert featuring pianist Aaron Diehl. Free, but reservations required. www.sterngrove.org

Warriors Thrive City Block Party: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. July 3-4, community gathering space surrounding Chase Center, 1 Warriors Way, San Francisco. Independence Day Old Fashioned Concert: 10-11 a.m., Kevin Moran Park, 12415 Scully Ave., Saratoga. Mayor Yan Zhao will welcome guests, then the McCartysville Volunteer Band will play a broad selection of patriotic songs. Everyone is encouraged to wear red, white and blue. St. Helena Front Yard Fourth: Celebrate Independence Day in your front yard with friends and neighbors. Spirit of Watsonville Fourth of July Events: Neighborhood parade, July 1-4. Load up the family and take a tour of homes and businesses that are decorated for the Fourth. Ride with family and friends and tour some of the decorated homes and businesses. A new Metro electric bus will lead the way. Meet at noon if you want to decorate the bus and your bike.
