Village shops close
Two Saratoga Village retailers are closing their doors. Leslee Warwick is shuttering the Barn Owl after eight years in business, and Mary Ann Serpa’s Skin Prophecy Boutique is closing after 15 years on Big Basin Way.
In a message to her customers, Warwick said the COVID-19 pandemic and the fires, coupled with some personal tragedies, necessitated the Barn Owl’s closure.
“It will take some time to liquidate everything, so I’m not saying goodbye yet,” Warwick added, saying that she expected to start her closing sale on Sept. 4.
Jill Hunter of the Saratoga Village Development Council wrote in an email that both Warwick and Sherpa have been supportive of Village events over the years.
“I cannot tell you how much we have loved having these ladies in our Village,” Hunter added. “They will be greatly missed.”
Uncorked’s sidewalk cafe
Uncorked was set to kick its wine to the curb in anticipation of opening its sidewalk cafe Sept. 5. The tasting room is located at 14500 Big Basin Way.
The al fresco tastings will be intimate, as Uncorked has three tables for two available. Guests are asked to limit their visit to one hour if it’s busy.
Wine is being served by the glass; no flights are available. Orders will be taken at the bar.
To make a reservation, call 408-741-9000 or email wine@uncorked-wines.com.
