The Alameda County Fairgrounds held its third “Fair Food Fridays” at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Customers pre-ordered their fair food dinners online, with no-contact curbside pick up at the fairgrounds. Decorated livestock statues were also on display as selfie spots.

Last Friday’s menu offering was Spit Fire chicken; an elote corn cup; a fruit bowl with watermelon, mango, pineapple, cantaloupe, lime mist and Tajin; Fun House rice; warm corn tortillas; and for dessert, mini powdered sugar donuts with strawberry preserves.

After picking up their meals, customers could drive by the bar and purchase an adult beverage such as a Mini Jose Cuervo Margarita, a can of Corona or Modelo Chelada beer, a selection of Wood Family Vineyards wine, or a frosé slushy, consisting of frozen rosé wine.

The next Fair Food Friday, planned for May 15, will feature prime rib, loaded baked potatoes, steamed asparagus with lemon butter and mini churros for dessert. Click here for more information and to purchase a meal.
