Curfew orders were imposed in multiple Bay Area cities because of unrest and looting over the weekend. All countywide orders and most city orders were lifted by Thursday afternoon.

San Mateo County lifted its order the morning of Thursday, June 4.

Santa Clara County didn’t issue  a countywide order, but some cities imposed their own curfews:

• San Jose: Ended on the morning of Thursday, June 4, a decision the city announced on Tuesday evening.

• Palo Alto: Ended on the morning of Thursday, June 4.

• Santa Clara: Lifted Tuesday.

Contra Costa County lifted its order on the afternoon of Thursday, June 4.

Earlier, individual cities in the county had issued orders of their own, and these may remain in place. As of 3 p.m. Thursday, these had not been rescinded:

• Pittsburg, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., until further notice.

• Walnut Creek: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., ending on June 8.  The order requires “residents, visitors and workers within the City of Walnut Creek to stay indoors during those hours.”  Exemptions include public safety personnel, health care providers, people who are homeless,  people traveling to and from work, and news reporters.

• Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., until further notice.

Alameda County lifted its order on Thursday, June 4.  As of 3 p.m. Thursday, the only city that had not officially ended the curfew was Fremont.

The East Bay Regional Park District has established a curfew for its parks, in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., until further notice.

San Francisco lifted its order on the morning of Thursday, June 4.
