BERKELEY — Two men were wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in West Berkeley, authorities said.

Their ages and places of residence have not been released yet and police have not said if they knew each other.

The shooting was reported just after 11 p.m. in the 2300 block of Eighth Street near Channing Way..

Police found the two men  wounded on nearby Ninth Street.  Police said their injuries were non-life threatening.

A parked vehicle was also hit by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.

One of the men was taken to a hospital and the other was treated at the scene and released, police said. The condition of the person taken to the hospital was not available.

Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting or announced any arrests.
