Join us Wednesday as we visit Rainbow Falls in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

This manmade waterfall gets its name from colored lights that originally illuminated the falls during its dedication in 1930. The falls, located along John F. Kennedy Drive near Crossover Drive, are fed by nearby Lloyd Lake.

The Prayerbook Cross sits near the top of the falls. The cross is 64 feet tall, making it one of the highest in the city; it was a gift from the Church of England and was erected in 1894.

Golden Gate Park currently is celebrating its 150th anniversary. As part of the celebration, officials are streaming a series of concerts that have taken place there. For more information, head over to the park’s website.
