Bellarmine football player Jae’Von Reels is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Nov. 21-26 after he had received 38.66% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Serra football player Jaden Green finished second and South San Francisco soccer player Angel Ramirez took third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Reels had 3.5 sacks, including one on the game-sealing possession, and forced a fumble in a dominant performance as Bellarmine captured the Central Coast Section Division II championship with a 21-14 victory over St. Ignatius at San Jose City College.

The Bells will play Vanden-Fairfield on Saturday night in a NorCal regional at SJCC.
