Menlo School baseball player Colin Dhaliwal is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for April 18-24 after he received 10,826 votes (45.03%) by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Dhaliwal edged De La Salle baseball player Anthony Martinez, who finished with 10,397 votes (43.24%).
Berkeley baseball player Darrell Mays was third.

Dhaliwal, a junior, struck out 15, walked one and allowed one earned run over six innings as Menlo defeated Harker 8-1 in Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division play.
He also knocked in a run in that game and one in Menlo’s 8-0 win over Harker later in the week.
