Stuck at home sheltering in place? Come check out the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge on our live stream. No social-distancing is required.
The nation’s first urban national wildlife refuge was created largely through grass-roots efforts by the local community in 1972 to protect the San Francisco Bay. The 30,000-acre refuge is located at the southern end of the by and is a home for many endangered species and migratory birds.
The Bay Area News Group is doing these streams as a way to give people stuck at home a window to other parts of the Bay Area.
