New plans unveiled for fall sports amid COVID-19 pandemic
Pac-12 football teams will keep to themselves this season. School administrators announced Friday that all non-conference games have been canceled as they search for ways to save a season threatened by the pandemic. The new plan will involve only conference games in all Pac-12 fall sports. Football, women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s soccer games will only be played within the conference, according to the conference.
President Donald Trump wears face mask in public for first time
President Donald Trump wore a mask during a visit Saturday to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center — it was the first time he has been seen in public with the type of facial covering recommended by health officials as a precaution against spreading or becoming infected by the coronavirus, the Associated Press reported.
“When you’re in a hospital, especially … I think it’s a great thing to wear a mask,” Trump told reporters.
NASA says Comet Neowise will be visible starting this week
The space agency reports that the comet will be visible with the naked eye in the early morning sky and after sunset.
