Green Day co-founder Mike Dirnt has sold his Piedmont mansion for $6.625 million, below the original $6.8 million asking price.

The 6,712-square-foot California Mediterranean style home has five bedrooms and six baths. It features tall ceilings, a winding stairway with wrought-iron railing and an expansive courtyard with pool and spa, among many other amenities.

Dirnt, 46, was born in Oakland but grew up in Contra Costa County. He attended Pinole Valley High School with Billie Joe Armstrong, the other co-founder of Green Day. Dirnt is an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
