Save the Bay and IBM put together an annual celebration of the San Francisco Bay on Saturday with restoration projects, shoreline clean-ups, catamaran sailing and wetland tours with environmental television journalist Doug McConnell.

Activities got the public out to enjoy all that the bay has to offer.

In Palo Alto, highlights included a Palo Alto Baylands Native Plant Nursery Tour that allowed members of the public to learn about the native plant species and get their hands dirty in a restoration project.

Other activities included music, marsh exploration, an appearance of a bald eagle and fun educational activities for young environmentalists.
The planned activities stretched from the south bay all the way to Vallejo.
