So you think you’re a Sharks fan, huh? Jeremy Cruz of Milpitas may have you beat.

He lined up at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the Players Ink tattoo shop on West San Carlos Street in San Jose to be first in line for a free Sharks logo tattoo Wednesday morning. To top it off, the Sharks fin logo tattoo he got on the inside of his wrist was his first tattoo ever.

And he was hardly alone. More than 200 fans were waiting outside the shop at 9:30 a.m. hoping to be part of the “Sharks for Life” promotion, in which the team provided free Sharks-themed tattoos to the first 40 fans, age 18 and up.

The team will repeat the event for the next away games in its Western Conference Finals series against the St. Louis Blues: Friday at Black Lagoon Tattoo (118 E. Santa Clara St.) and again Tuesday at State of Grace (221 Jackson St.), should Game 6 be necessary.

Fans have a choice of six designs and can get more information at www.sjsharks.com/tealtats.
