Revellers, mainly from the United States, Japan and Britain, once again gathered in the eastern Spain town of Bunol on Wednesday, Aug. 28 to take part in the annual “Tomatina” festival. The “world’s biggest food fight,” which was briefly banned during the Franco regime, involves tons of tomatoes, which must be squashed before throwing. Other than that, it’s every man and woman for themselves.
