Letter: Trump’s attempt to divide Jewish voters is insulting

He is trying to portray views of Israel of Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar as the stance of the Democratic Party.

Re: “Trump: Any Jew voting Democratic is uninformed or disloyal” (Page A4, Aug. 21):

How dare Donald Trump say that Jews who vote for Democrats show “great disloyalty.”

Trump is trying to portray the views of Israel of Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar as the stance of the Democratic Party. I strongly disagree with the views of Reps. Tlaib and Omar, but I find it personally insulting and characteristically demagogic of Trump to claim that I will be disloyal if I vote for Democrats.

His attempt to divide Jewish voters is blatantly obvious. Fortunately, most Jews easily see through this sham.
