Letter: ‘Mallard Fillmore’ creator must apologize to victims

Comic strip's creator must make public apology to all affected by senseless violence.

Re: Mallard Fillmore comic strip (Page B9, Aug. 19):

I have a hard time conveying my disgust regarding this “cartoon.” Its content may have, in a twisted way, tried to mock Democratic candidates — a legitimate target — but it does so at the expense of victims of mass shootings.

I had to read it twice to realize the banality of the message.

Simply dropping Bruce Tinsley’s abhorrent messages is insufficient; he needs to make a public apology to all of the victims of senseless violence.
