HOUSTON — On the eve of his own epic Game 7, Warriors guard Stephen Curry found time to watch LeBron James.
Of course he did.

“LeBron is amazing,” Curry said Monday, a few hours before tipping off against the Houston Rockets in the decisive game of the Western Conference Finals. “It’s unbelievable to think about the consistency and longevity and greatness that he’s shown.”
James scored 35 points against the Boston Celtics in Game 7 on Sunday night, lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers into the NBA Finals.

For James, the four-time league MVP, this makes eight consecutive trips to the Finals: four with Miami and now four with Cleveland.
This time, James played all 48 minutes.
“I turned on the TV last night and there were points in the game when you didn’t know how it was going to play out,” Curry marveled. “(But) they found a way to get it done. It was an amazing performance.”
The winner of Warriors-Rockets in Game 7 will host the Cavaliers in Finals opener on Thursday.
Steve Kerr, too, praised James. But the Warriors coach also came away with respect for what the Celtics accomplished this season.
“I was so impressed with Boston and their young players and what they’ve built,” Kerr said. “It was an amazing season for them.”
