We may be social-distancing, but we can still take a trip to Half Moon Bay together! Thursday marks the first day of spring, and a virtual beach day is an excellent way to celebrate.
How much do you know about Half Moon Bay?
The scenic San Mateo County community is located on the Pacific Coast between forested hills and some of the most beautiful coastlines that California has to offer. It is slightly less than 30 miles south of San Francisco.
Half Moon Bay has many historic buildings in downtown. The historic business district still shows signs of what the city center was like in earlier days.
Farms in Half Moon Bay date back to the 1800s.
Outdoor enthusiasts can find miles of deserted white sandy beaches, redwood forests, beautiful state parks, fields of wildflowers, and hiking and biking trails along ocean bluffs and mountain ridges.
