BroadwaySF — which operates both the Orpheum and Golden Gate theaters in San Francisco — is postponing a number of upcoming productions due to the ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes such highly anticipated shows as “The Band’s Visit,” “My Fair Lady” and “Mean Girls.”
A complete list of the postponed productions is listed below. Thankfully, these shows have not been canceled — just postponed. And organizers say they will be rescheduled.
“We are currently working with each of the above productions to schedule new performance dates,” reads a statement from BroadwaySF. “Once we can confirm those plans, we will update you accordingly. Until then, we ask ticket holders to hold on to their tickets and wait for BroadwaySF to reach out with more detailed information. The BroadwaySF offices remain closed and we appreciate patience as our response will likely be delayed.”
Shows to be rescheduled:
“The Band’s Visit” (originally scheduled May 27-June 21)
“Spamilton” (originally scheduled May 27-July 12)
“Mean Girls” (originally scheduled June 30-Aug 2)
“My Fair Lady” (originally scheduled August 5-30)
“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” in Concert (originally scheduled August 14-15)
Note: BroadwaySF has also extended its renewal deadline for the 2020-2021 season until June 26.
