Adventurous travelers in the know call it a loop, a culturally-immersive type of trip that allows you to experience multiple cities in a country — and perhaps you’ve been traveling this way forever.
Culture Trip, the travel website, has just unveiled its top seven trip suggestions for 2020 — in loop fashion. The list includes trending far-flung destinations such as the No. 1, Japan, which starts in Tokyo, home of the 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as more familiar destinations such as Mexico — with stops in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Oaxaca — and the USA.
The only domestic loop to make the list –which runs from Nashville to Memphis and New Orleans — is a veritable whirlwind of soulful food and music. That’s the benefit of city loops, “that they give travelers the best chance to live and learn the cultural breadth of a place in one dynamic trip,” according to Culture Trip’s Natalie Malevsky.
With that, here is Culture Trip’s top seven trending city loop destinations for 2020. Learn more at theculturetrip.com.
