It’s a great week for music in the Bay Area, highlighted by shows from Nine Inch Nails, Justin Timberlake and Laurie Anderson. Here are some of our top picks:
Nine Inch Nails
Trent Reznor and company are out on the road in support of “Bad Witch,” Nine Inch Nails’ ninth studio album and its first since 2013’s “Hesitation Marks.”
The famed industrial-rock act performs a two-night stand, Dec. 3-4, at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
The Jesus and Mary Chain, the Scottish alt-rock outfit that released the acclaimed debut “Pyschocandy” in 1985, is also on the bill.
HMLTD opens.

Justin Timberlake
The multitalented performer is bringing the Man of the Woods Tour back to the Bay Area, with a Dec. 5 date scheduled at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. (P.S. We also hear that he’s bringing “SexyBack.”)

Echo and the Bunnymen
This English post-punk band, known for “The Killing Moon,” “The Cutter,” “Lips Like Sugar” and a bunch of other amazing songs from the ‘80s, performs Dec. 3 at the Masonic in San Francisco.

Laurie Anderson
The celebrated avant-garde artist performs five different programs in five nights, Nov. 28-Dec. 2, at SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco.

Elvis Costello
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, responsible for such fan favorites as “Alison,” “Watching the Detectives,” “Pump It Up” and “Everyday I Write the Book,” brings the Imposters to the Masonic in San Francisco Nov. 29.
