If you skipped Bruce Bochy’s last game as manager of the Giants, then move along, there is nothing for you here.

For the rest of us, we were treated to a sad/happy poignant reminder on Sunday why we collected baseball cards; decried the trade that didn’t pan out; swore off our allegiance to the team one day and found ourselves sitting in the bleachers the next; declared we could die and go to heaven now that our team had won a World Series — or a series of World Series.

It was a reminder that baseball is just a game — a game that forges lifelong memories and unbreakable bonds.

There will be no topping what happened Sunday for a very long time. So let’s do ourselves a favor. Let’s review the top 5 moments of Bochy’s swan song. No more talking, just crying.

  1. A generational pastime

2. Barry Bonds’ Dodger diss

3. MadBum’s tip’o the helmet

4. The Freak

5. Goodbye, farewell and Amen.
