Development plans for the property include a four- to five-story parking garage for 367 vehicles, a 19-story glass-and-metal tower, and four to six buildings up to eight stories tall with 554 new units at market rate, and only 35 affordable units by conversion of a dormitory. UBA’s mission is to promote neighborhood evolution that is a model of beauty, sustainability, affordability and density.

Environmental impact report public hearings are scheduled for Aug. 12 and 21, and the deadline for written comments is Aug. 23.  If we are vigilant and insistent, we can minimize negative impacts on the neighborhood.
