Madonna brings intimate theater tour to San Francisco

Local Madonna fans have been looking enviously at the singer’s tour itinerary for quite some time, as the star has been announcing intimate theater shows in other markets around the country and in Europe.

Well, finally, San Francisco gets to join the party.

The Madonna Madame X tour is coming to San Francisco’s SHN Golden Gate Theatre for three nights — Oct. 31, Nov. 2 and 4.

And, yes, that Halloween show should be totally off the hook!

Tickets for the three concerts go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at https://madamex.shnsf.com.

There are also a few presale opportunities.

Members of Madonna’s official club, ICON, as well as something called Lifetime Legacy members of ICON are eligible for a presale that runs 10 a.m. Sept. 10 through 5 p.m. Sept. 12, https://www.madonna.com/tour.

Citi card holders have access during that same presale time period, www.citientertainment.com.

The tour, after an initial delay due to “production elements,” says Variety, kicks off Sept. 17 in New York. Reports suggested the issue might have been bugs in the holograms she’s using in her show, which is described as “an intimate theatrical experience.” Intimate, indeed, the Golden Gate Theatre has a reported capacity of just under 2,300.
