Restaurants and bars around the world are taking different approaches to reopening during the coronavirus pandemic.
Some are sticking to takeout and delivery, worrying about their customers health, while others have ignored social distancing and other precautions because their state Supreme Court struck down a stay-at-home order. Hi Wisconsin! Whatever the case, restaurants in the United States and abroad have been adapting to local rules and safety guidelines.
Vilnius, Lithuiana, is an interesting place because the city has been turned into a giant open-air cafe in order to allow bars and restaurants to host guests safely, according to The Guardian. The Eater SF website said that Berkeley is considering doing the same thing to help its struggling eateries.
One of the common images seen in these restaurants is that many servers wear face masks and gloves. In addition, many diners sitting inside are seated far apart from others. Elsewhere, some bars and restaurants are going the extra mile for safety and putting plastic barriers between patrons at the bar and at tables. Meanwhile, to maintain a sense of a full dining room because has been limited, the Inn at Little Washington has used mannequins at tables.
