BURLINGAME — An unidentified missing person has been pronounced dead inside a vehicle parked near an Interstate 280 off-ramp, authorities said Sunday.
Shortly before 8:10 p.m., California HIghway Patrol officers responded to a report of the person seen in a vehicle near northbound I-280 lanes at the Crystal Springs rest area.
Firefighters, who joined CHP officers at the scene, pronounced the person dead at 8:18 p.m.
No information was immediately available on the circumstances involving the missing person, and an identity was not released Sunday night, pending notification of a family member.
