COVID-19 vaccines arrive. Who is first in line for them?

California’s distribution plan starts with health care workers and nursing home residents. Until more doses are available, access within these two groups also will be restricted, according to the panel called the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which is made up of physicians and public health experts.

For instance, health care workers with direct patient contact will be first in line. Most facilities say they can vaccinate all of their health care workers within three weeks.

Supreme Court rejects GOP challenge to Pennsylvania vote

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to block the state from formalizing President-elect Joe Biden’s victory there, Reuters reported. President Donald Trump’s election fight to date has included more than 50 lawsuits, according to NBC News.

Trump pardoned former National Security Adviser Michael T. Flynn in November. Sources have since told CNN that Trump has discussed pardoning himself, his children and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

Justice Department investigating presidential pardon bribery scheme

Though no one has been charged publicly with a crime, the Justice Department is probing whether there was a secret scheme to lobby White House officials for a pardon as well as a related plot to offer a hefty political contribution in exchange for clemency, the Associated Press reported.
