Ozzy Osbourne has postponed his entire 2019 tour.
The postponed shows include his two stops in Northern California, originally set for July 18 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and on July 27 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.
Local fans will have to wait a full year to see Osbourne, who will make up that Sacramento show on July 17, 2020, and the Mountain View gig on July 25, 2020.
The postponement is necessary so that Osbourne can recover “from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia,” according to a news release.
The heavy metal icon “fell at his Los Angeles home aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery last month. Osbourne will remain under doctor’s care in Los Angeles as he recovers,” the release says.
“I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates,” Osbourne says in the release. “Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!”

This is the fourth different date for Osbourne’s Shoreline appearance. It was first set to take place on Oct. 6, but was moved back in the month — not just once, but twice — so that Osbourne could deal with a hand injury. But the star ended up needing more surgery, which meant the show was not able to happen in 2018.
And now it won’t happen in 2019 either.
Fingers crossed that Bay Area fans finally get to see the rock ‘n’ roll legend in 2020.
