OAKLAND — A 27-year-old Hayward man was killed and two other people, one a 15-year-old boy, were wounded in two shootings Wednesday night in East Oakland neighborhoods, authorities said.
The fatal shooting happened at about 8:38 p.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of Trask Avenue in the Seminary neighborhood.
Officers found the man in a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officer began working to provide life-saving care to the man before he was taken to a hospital where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
Police have not said why he was in Oakland or why he was shot. No arrests have been made.
The killing is the 102nd homicide investigated by Oakland police this year, 95 of which are classified as murders. For all of 2019, police investigated 78 homicides, of which 75 were classified as murders.
The 15-year-old boy and a 31-year-old man were shot at about 11:35 p.m. in the 2700 block of Havenscourt Boulevard. Police have not said if they knew each other.
The man was found at the scene and taken to a hospital where he was in critical condition. The boy got his own transportation to a hospital and was in stable condition.
Authorities said the two were part of a group of people standing outside a store when someone began shooting at them. They were the only ones hit. Police did not say if the shooter was on the street or in a vehicle.
Police have not released a motive yet for the shooting and have not announced any arrests.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in both the fatal shooting and the double shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.
