Cheers and music could be heard Saturday as Carondelet High School hosted a drive-thru parade for their Class of 2020 in Concord.
The parade, approved by the Contra Costa Health Services, featured posters of all 200 graduates surrounding the parade route. As the parade circled the campus, each graduate received a decorated cookie and rose while a DJ broadcast a mix of students’ favorite songs and words of wisdom from the Carondelet staff. Photos and videos could be taken at a booth set up for graduates and families.
Concord Police Department handled traffic control, with decorations donated or purchased from local businesses.
