In all, more than 75 acts are scheduled to appear during the three days of music, food, wine and festivities at the Napa Valley Expo.
“Our goal each year is to book the best acts available that fit our audience profile, and we’re very happy that it resulted in such a deep lineup,” said Dave Graham, CEO of BottleRock Napa Valley.
Three-day passes, priced from to $359 to $4,350, go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at BottleRockNapaValley.com. No information about single-day passes has been released at this point.
The festival is organized so that two headliners perform each day, appearing as the last acts on BottleRock’s two biggest stages. The daily lineups and schedules will be announced at a later date.
This is the second time that Red Hot Chili Peppers have headlined the festival. The legendary Los Angeles troupe also appeared atop the bill in 2016.
“That is one of our favorites,” Graham says. “There couldn’t be a better band for our lineup. It transcends all demographics.
Graham said he’s also excited about San Jose State grad Nicks appearing at BottleRock.
“She’s incredible,” he says. “She’s like the only (female) artist in the world who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice — once as a member of Fleetwood Mac and once as an individual artist. We’re ecstatic to have her.
“She transcends all demographics as well.”
And getting the Dave Matthews Band on the bill had been on organizers’ to-do list for some time.
“Dave Matthews Band was just a matter of time,” Graham says. “The stars had to align. And they did — and it was the first headliner that we confirmed this year.”
Graham described this year’s bill “the deepest lineup that we’ve ever had.” And a big part of that is due to the number of superb female artists booked.
“It’s the strongest female presence we’ve had to date, whether you’re talking about Stevie, Miley, Brandi, Maggie, Janelle, Blondie, Maren Morris, Tegan & Sara, Grace VanderWaal, Muna — even Of Monsters and Men is led by a female artist,” he said. “It’s super strong and we’re proud of that.”
