October continues to be a hot month for concerts. Here are some of the top shows going on this week, including an appearance by hip-hop legend Ice Cube.

How the West Was Won

Ice Cube headlines this big classic hip-hop show on Oct. 13 at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View. The other acts on the bill are Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Too Short, Warren G and Tha Dogg Pound.

Eric Lindell

The terrific roots-rock troubadour supports his latest offering, “Revolution in Your Heart,” on Oct. 13 at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz and Oct. 18 at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.

Hozier

The Irish singer-songwriter, who skyrocketed to fame with the 2013 single “Take Me to Church,” performs Oct. 16 at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Hudson Taylor opens the show.

Dashboard Confessional and All Time Low

The two emo acts co-headline the Masonic in San Francisco on Oct. 12. Gnash is also on the bill.

Jonathan Van Ness

The TV/podcast/online personality, who is the grooming expert on Netflix’s “Queer Eye” series,” performs two shows on Oct. 15 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

Mayday Parade

These Florida rockers hit the UC Theater in Berkeley on Oct. 17 in support of their sixth studio album, “Sunnyland.”
