More than a year after a heavily pregnant Khloe Kardashian found out that Tristan Thompson was cheating on her, the reality TV star has hit back at allegations that she did some cheating herself — hooking up with the NBA player while knowing he was still dating pregnant girlfriend Jordan Craig.
Kardashian, 33, posted a tearful Instagram story post, in which she claims she received assurance that Thompson’s relationship with Craig was over by the time she first met the Cleveland Cavaliers player on a blind date in 2016.
In the way that rich and famous people apparently operate, Kardashian said she didn’t just receive this assurance from 28-year-old Thompson, or even from his mother and friends, but also from his business associates and lawyers.
Kardashian’s Instagram story post comes after the gossip site Radar reported last week that it had obtained child support documents Craig filed in court, in which Craig alleges that Thompson was cheating on her with Kardashian while she was pregnant with his first child and while they were trying to work things out.
In her post, Kardashian said Thompson was upfront with her about another woman carrying his child. For this reason, Kardashian said she at first was reluctant to start a relationship with him.
“He pleaded with me that the relationship was over long before we met,” Kardashian said in her Instagram post. “He had me talk with his most inner circle.”
She also claims Thompson also showed her correspondence with Craig to show that the relationship was over and “had me on on calls with his lawyers to prove his point.”
“This is my truth,” Kardashian insisted. “The truth that I believed and trusted. If for any reason this is NOT in fact the truth, I am so completely and utterly sorry that Tristan and his inner circle would lie on something like this.”
According to her court filings, Craig said that up through the spring of 2016, she had been living an “extravagant” life with her boyfriend of two years in Cleveland, Radar reported. Craig said she and Thompson also were excited about starting a family. But in April 2016, a month after she found out she was pregnant, she said she learned that Thompson was cheating on her.
At this point, it’s not clear who Thompson was allegedly cheating with, because Craig’s documents refer to his “infidelities and partying.” In any case, as soon as Craig learned about his “infidelities,” she said she left Cleveland and moved back to her native Los Angeles.
Craig said Thompson tried numerous times to get back together with her, Radar reported. But in the summer of 2016, Craig spotted paparazzi photos of Thompson “with one of the women I previously confronted him about, and whom Tristan had denied even knowing.”
While Kardashian isn’t named at this point in the documents, the summer of 2016 is when Thompson and Kardashian were first spotted together at a Los Angeles club and then photographed on a romantic Mexican getaway, Radar reported.
Craig claims that the viral news about Thompson’s relationship with Kardashian had a harmful effect on her pregnancy, Radar reported.
“Their relationship went viral and everything took a turn for the worst,” Craig said in the court documents. “Every day several articles were published worldwide mocking my new unfortunate reality and my pregnancy would now become one of the most popular gossip headlines due to the woman Tristan was now publicly dating during my pregnancy.”
Craig said the stress of Thompson and Kardashian’s very public relationship led to pregnancy complications, which forced her to go on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy, according to court records. Fortunately, Craig’s son, Prince, was born healthy in December 2016.
As the world since learned, Kardashian got a taste of what it’s like to have her man cheat on her when pregnant.
Just days before the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star gave birth to daughter True in April 2018, she learned via the tabloids that Thompson had cheated on her multiple women throughout their relationship.
Kardashian publicly stood by Thompson until February 2019 when he reportedly was caught hooking up with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.
In her post, Kardashian acknowledged that she and Craig have a similar painful experience in common, saying, “No woman deserves to go through anything like this.”
She also again apologized for any pain she caused with her relationship with Thompson: “Truthfully, from the deepest parts of my soul I am sorry! I’m sorry any pain that has been created either way.”
“No woman deserves to go through anything like this! This is MY TRUTH.”
